Towards the end of Term Two we celebrated books and reading in a number of ways. The library was turned into an enchanted garden surrounded by books for sale, provided by Scholastic. We raised an amazing $1806.42. The money raised through the sale of the books will be used to improve the library and ensure this is a place that fosters wonder. Our Book Fair included an evening where we could wear our PJs and listen to stories in the library.
Author James Russell took creative writing lessons for small groups of students and read his books to a range of classes. A big thank you to James for sharing his knowledge with Reremoana. James will be visiting us again next term to work with the Kereru Team.
One day hundreds of book characters arrived at school, with students and staff dressing up and taking part in a parade and book activities.
Thank you everyone for making this a great week.
